System commands
The smcli system commands perform administrative operations on the IBM® Flex System Manager system, including discovering, adding, removing, and listing information.
smcli commands
The following smcli system commands are available:
- accesssys command
Use the accesssys command to request secured access to systems. - assignULA command
Use the assignULA command to assign unique link-local addresses (ULAs) to all of the components in a chassis. IPv6 ULAs meet IBM Flex System® network requirements. A ULA specifies an IP address that is globally unique, and is intended for local communications. - chAutomanage command
Use the chAutomanage command to change the automatic management setting for the current FSM. - chsys command
Use the chsys command to change the attributes of a system. - collectNetworkAdvisorLogs command
Use the collectNetworkAdvisorLogs command to collect the logs and data needed to resolve SMIA Configuration Tool issues. - deleteosimage command
Use the deleteosimage command to delete the operating-system images that have been imported to the management node. - importosimage command
Use the importosimage command to import operating-system images for deployment to managed compute nodes. - lsAutomanage command
Use the lsAutomanage command to display the automatic management setting for the current FSM. - lsCentrallyManagedChassis command
Use the lsCentrallyManagedChassis command to view the chassis that are centrally managed by the FSM. - lsChassis command
Use the lsChassis command to list all known chassis. - lsFSM command
Use the lsFSM command to list all known FSMs. - lsosimages command
Use the lsosimages command to list the operating-system images that have been imported to the management node. - lssys command
Use the lssys command to retrieve system attribute information. - manageChassis command
Use the manageChassis to place a chassis under the management of the specified FSM. - manageFabric command
Use the manageFabric command to manage a Fibre Channel switch. - pingsys command
Use the pingsys command to perform a presence check (ping) on the targeted systems. When the presence check is completed, the results are reflected in the OperatingState and CommunicationState attributes. This command performs an IBM Flex System Manager presence check and not an Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) ping. - printDMData command
Use the printDMData command to print the management node Data. - restartcmm command
Use the restartcmm command to restart or cause failover of one or both of the Chassis Management Modules (CMM) of a Flex System Enterprise Chassis. - revokeaccesssys command
Use the revokeaccesssys command to revoke access to unlocked systems. - rmCentrallyManagedChassis command
Use the rmCentrallyManagedChassis command to remove a chassis from centralized management. The chassis will still be managed when this command completes. - rmsys command
Use the rmsys command to remove systems and all associated data from an IBM Flex System Manager® management domain. - rpower command
Use the rpower command to perform power-management operations on remote systems. - unmanageChassis command
