PCIe slot descriptions for the 8348-21C

The 8348-21C system provides PCIe generation 3 slots. Figure 1 shows the rear view of the system with the PCIe adapter slots. Table 1 lists the PCIe adapter slot locations and details for the 8348-21C system.
  • The half-height, half-length or short (low-profile) adapters can be installed in slots 1, 2, and 4.
  • The half-height, full-length adapters can be installed only in slot 3.

1Slots 1, 2, and 4 are x8 slots. The adapter priority for these slots is for the high-performance adapters followed by any other adapter.
