PCIe3 LP 2-port 100 Gb EDR InfiniBand Adapter (FC EC3E and EC3F; CCIN 2CEA)

Learn about the specifications and operating system requirements for the feature code (FC) EC3E adapter.

Overview

FC EC3E and EC3F are both the same adapter with different feature codes. FC EC3E is a low-profile adapter and FC EC3F is a full-height adapter.

The PCIe3 2-port 100 Gb enhanced data rate (EDR) InfiniBand adapter provides high-speed connectivity with other servers or InfiniBand switches. Each port maximum of 100 Gb assumes that no other system and or switch bottlenecks are present.
Note:
  • The ambient environment must be less than or equal to 25°C (Celsius) and 500 M (meters) when using 12x LFF (large form factor) HDDs (hard disk drives) in the 8348-21C.
  • For no ambient restrictions in the 8348-21C, keep at least two of three bays empty of LFF HDDs in the leftmost drive column.
