Installing Decision Center and Decision Server Rules by using a remote URL

If you have a remote file server, you can install the pattern package for Decision Center and Decision Server Rules by using a remote URL.

Before you begin

Restriction: You must have permission to complete the following tasks on IBM® PureApplication® to install the pattern package for Decision Center and Decision Server Rules:
  • Deploy patterns in the cloud
  • Create patterns
  • Create catalog content
  • Manage workload resources with full permissions

Procedure

  1. Go to the Passport Advantage® website and locate the pattern eAssembly images for Decision Center and Decision Server Rules. You can search for the pattern images by name or part number (see Operational Decision Manager Download Documents).
  2. Select the pattern image that matches your operating system:
    • IBM Operational Decision Manager Application Pattern V8.9.2 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server Multilingual
    • IBM Operational Decision Manager Application Pattern V8.9.2 on AIX Multilingual
  3. Download the pattern eAssembly image to a remote file server and extract its package. Note the location of the pattern package so that you can use the web address during the installation process.
  4. Log in to IBM PureApplication.
  5. Click Catalog > Pattern Types.
  6. Click New.
  7. On the Remote tab, enter the web address for the pattern package.
  8. From the side of the Pattern Types window, select IBM ODM Pattern 8.9.2 for Virtual System 1.0, accept the licenses, and enable the pattern type.
  9. Click Patterns > Virtual Systems to verify the installation by locating the predefined patterns.
