Installing Maximo Anywhere

The installation of IBM® Maximo Anywhere involves running an installation program and a configuration program, both of which are started from the launchpad.

To install Maximo Anywhere, you download the product software from IBM Passport Advantage®. The product software is comprised of the following three components:
  • Maximo® Asset Management required components
  • Maximo Anywhere
  • Optional: Maximo Anywhere application container

To install Maximo Anywhere, you must first install the required components for Maximo Asset Management. Nine default mobile apps are included in Maximo Anywhere.

Maximo Anywhere application container

The Maximo Anywhere application container is an optional component that you use if you want to use Windows mobile apps, or if you want to build and deploy your own native apps. The Maximo Anywhere container is also used to deploy Android and iOS apps if you do not have access to Google Play or the Apple App Store.
