You can import visualizations from other users for use in your dashboards, or you can
import visualizations from another Catalog on your system.
If Spaces are enabled in a Catalog, you
can also import visualizations from a Space.
Visualizations can be imported from .json files that contain one or more
exported visualization definitions.
Note: JSON files that contain a combination of exported visualizations and
dashboards can also be imported as described in the following steps.
Before you begin
To import visualizations, you must either be the owner of the API provider
organization, or be assigned a role that has the permission for the selected Catalog or Space. If you import a
visualization into a Catalog, the analytics data is scoped at the Catalog level, and if imported
into a Space, the data is
scoped to that Space. For
information about enabling Spaces
in a new or existing Catalog, see Creating and configuring Catalogs and Enabling Spaces in a Catalog. For more information about assigning Catalog or Space permissions to a role, see
Managing Catalog membership and Managing Space membership.
