What's new in navigation for assets and locations hierarchies
To improve navigation, an optional drill-down feature is available for viewing both assets and locations in a single, hierarchical view. The drag-and-drop and cut-and-paste options in the hierarchical view make it easier to move assets and locations.
The option offers additional features, including the ability to display the following data about assets and locations:
- Locations, which are organized by systems
- Assets
- Spare parts of assets
- Preventive maintenance items for locations
- Preventive maintenance items for assets
Only assets and locations can be moved in the hierarchy. You cannot move spare parts or preventive maintenance items.
Administrators can replace the standard Drilldown window with this new user interface. Three new system properties are added for this option. To implement the hierarchical view for the Drilldown window, administrators must set the new mxe.webclient.extendedDrilldown system property to true. The two other properties control the number of child objects that can be retrieved for the nodes in the hierarchy.
