Failure uploading event.xml
to case is not reported
Use these steps to resolve a failure during upload of event.xml
.
Symptoms
A comment in a service ticket that was opened by using the Service and Support Manager has the following text:Transfer of file <event_name>.<timestamp>.event.xml failed
Resolving the problem
You can export the event and upload it to IBM® Support by using the Problems page in the console:- Click . (or if in 2.3.3.3 or later)
- Find the service ticket for which the failure was reported and click the Link to event page icon in the Action column.
- On the Events page that opens in a new browser window, click the Export icon in the upper left of the page.
- To export the event, select Export all the filtered
events, click OK, and save the
.xml
file onto your system. - Go back to the Problems page and open the problem details for the service ticket by clicking the Show details icon in the Action column.
- Click Add File to add the exported
.xml
file from your system. - Click Open and then OK to import the file.
- Click the Upload icon to upload the file to IBM Support.
