Failure uploading event.xml to case is not reported

Use these steps to resolve a failure during upload of event.xml.

Symptoms

A comment in a service ticket that was opened by using the Service and Support Manager has the following text:
Transfer of file <event_name>.<timestamp>.event.xml failed

Resolving the problem

You can export the event and upload it to IBM® Support by using the Problems page in the console:
  1. Click System > Problems (or Problem determination > System > Problems if in 2.3.3.3 or later).
  2. Find the service ticket for which the failure was reported and click the Link to event page icon in the Action column.
  3. On the Events page that opens in a new browser window, click the Export icon in the upper left of the page.
  4. To export the event, select Export all the filtered events, click OK, and save the .xml file onto your system.
  5. Go back to the Problems page and open the problem details for the service ticket by clicking the Show details icon in the Action column.
  6. Click Add File to add the exported .xml file from your system.
  7. Click Open and then OK to import the file.
  8. Click the Upload icon to upload the file to IBM Support.
