Configuring the Hadoop agent
You must configure the Monitoring Agent for Hadoop so that the agent can collect data from the Hadoop cluster that is being monitored.
About this task
The Hadoop agent is a single instance agent. You must configure the agent manually after the agent is installed. You can configure the agent to monitor a single node Hadoop cluster or a multi-node Hadoop cluster. The Hadoop agent can be configured on Windows, Linux, and AIX® systems.
Remember:
- For a multi-node Hadoop cluster, add the host names of all the nodes in the cluster when you configure the agent.
- If the IP address of some of the hosts is changed, you must configure the agent again.
