Viewing messages and Inbox notifications

Users with the Organization Administrator and Developer roles can view messages and use the Inbox notification feature to preview messages about application alerts, proactive cases that were opened, upcoming maintenance, and upgrade events for their environments. For any type of event update, you receive both an email and Inbox message.

Viewing messages

  1. Access the Self Service with your IBMid.
  2. Click the Self Service menu and then click Messages.
  3. In the Messages panel, select a message to read.

    In the Messages panel, you can click the ellipsis and select Mark all as read to mark all the messages read.

Viewing Inbox notifications

To view notifications of unread messages, click the Inbox icon on the Self Service home page. A preview panel displays only unread messages, and you can do any of the following actions:
  1. Preview the list of messages and open the message that you want to read. For a message, the preview panel displays the following information:
    Severity
    The level of importance of the message, such as High (Red), Medium (Yellow), and Low (Blue).
    Product
    The name of the product that the message is about, such as Order Management Software (OMS), Sterling Inteligent Promising (SIP), and more.
    Message Type
    The type of the message, such as General, Service Issue, Maintenance, and Update
    Subject
    The subject of the message.
    Summary
    The short statement describing the message content.
  2. To clear all the messages that are displayed in the preview panel, click Mark messages as read.
  3. To view all the messages in your Inbox, click View all messages.
