Changing specific resource views

For the Resource Group Definitions view, Group List Definitions view, and a small number of older-style views, you can change the views in the same way as in CICS Explorer® Version 5.2.

About this task

You can change how columns are displayed, specify which columns are displayed, and specify the order of those columns. You can filter the content of the view by one or more attributes, and sort the data by column.

These procedures apply to the following views:
  • Resource Group Definitions view
  • Group List Definitions view
  • A resource view that is opened from, or embedded in, another view or editor, for example:
    • Bundle Parts views that are opened from an Application editor or a Bundles view
    • Target Region views that are embedded in an active workload (or routing rule) editor
  • Moving columns in specific views
    For a small number of older-style views, you can change the size of a column, reposition a column, set columns to equal widths, and reset the columns to their default settings in the same way as in CICS Explorer Version 5.2.
  • Adding or removing columns in specific views
    When you open a view to display a CICS® resource, a subset of the resource attributes is displayed. For a small number of older-style views, you can add or remove attributes to display as columns in the view in the same way as in CICS Explorer Version 5.2.
  • Sorting data by column in specific views
    When a view is first populated, the content is typically displayed with the data in the first column in ascending order. In CICS TS Version 4.2 and later, for a small number of older-style views, you can sort the data by column in the same way as in CICS Explorer Version 5.2.
  • Filtering resources in specific views
    When you open a resource view, it might show a large number of resources. For a small number of older-style views, you can apply a filter in the same way as in CICS Explorer Version 5.2. You can apply a filter to show resources with similar properties, or to locate a single resource. You can filter on one or more resource attributes at the same time.
