Running a scheduled service now

Use the WebSphere® Application Server administrative console to run a service immediately on a monitor model version, without waiting for its next scheduled run.

Before you begin

Before you begin this task, you must log on to the WebSphere Application Server administrative console.
Note: If a version of a model is suspended, it can still be run now. The Run Now option does not resume a model. It allows a version to be run immediately without waiting for the configured interval to run.

About this task

Here is an example of how the Run Now option works. If a version is scheduled to run every 15 minutes, selecting the Run Now option causes it to run the next time a thread is available, instead of waiting for the next scheduled execution time. You see a Last Run status of Pending Run Now until a thread is available to run the service, typically within one minute.

To run a data service immediately for the selected versions of a model, complete the following steps:

Procedure

  1. In the WebSphere Application Server administrative console, click Applications > Monitor Services > Monitor Scheduled Services > model_name > Scheduled Services.
  2. Select the name of the service that you want to run.
  3. Under Additional Properties, click Versions.
  4. Select the version of the model that you want to run.
  5. Click Run Now.
