Changing the scheduled service interval and start time

Use the WebSphere® Application Server administrative console to change the interval and start time for running a service.

Before you begin

Before you begin this task, you must log on to the WebSphere Application Server administrative console.

About this task

You can change the interval and start time for all scheduled services except KPI History and KPI Prediction; these two services are set to run once an hour. To change the interval and start time, complete the following steps:

Procedure

  1. In the WebSphere Application Server administrative console, click Applications > Monitor Services > Monitor Scheduled Services > model_name > Scheduled Services.
  2. Select the service for which you making changes.
  3. From the drop-down menu in the Run every field, select how to run the service. For example, choose day or month to run the service every one or more days or months.
  4. In the field next to the Run every field, choose how often each day or month, for example, to run the service. Therefore, if you chose months in the Run every field and choose 2 in this field, the service will run every two months.
  5. In the Start service on field, enter the date that you want the service to begin.
  6. In the Time field, enter the time of day that you want the service to run.
  7. Click OK or Apply.
