Removing monitor models and data

There are several ways to remove a monitor model: uninstalling a version of it, uninstalling it, and purging the model after all versions of it have been removed. There are also several ways to remove the data associated with a model: when the model is uninstalled, or separately either automatically or using a script.

Note: Administrative privileges are required to deploy and uninstall all monitor models. In addition to deploying monitor model applications, other operations that are performed automatically require administrative privileges. Assign the Administrator role to the user who deploys and removes monitor model applications.

If the administrative console option Sync changes with Nodes is disabled, you must manually reload the CEI event service configuration. See related tasks.

Restriction: If you uninstall a monitor model that was deployed with the Generate dashboard during monitor model installation option, the generated dashboards are not removed from your Business Space.
