installation.
Backing up the server
To back up the server, make a backup copy of the database and application data directory.
Both frequent online backups and occasional offline backups are required.
Backing up the blueprint design server
To back up the blueprint design server, back up its database and the folders in which
it stores blueprints and configuration files.
Backing up engines
To back up a the Heat engine that is required for the IBM UrbanCode Deploy blueprint
designer, back up its database.
Restoring a backup
To restore a backup of the server, stop the server and replace the existing files and
databases with the backup files and databases.
Installing the server
The server provides services such as the user interface
used to configure application deployments, the workflow engine, the
security service, and the artifact repository, among others. Installing
the server involves specifying configuration information for the server,
such as the ports that the server uses.
