Problem
I need to create a license code/string for a user from an authorization code in the SPSS License Key Center. I have access to the License Key Center but I am unsure how to do this. What are the steps?
Resolving The Problem
Internet connection or firewall restrictions can prevent an SPSS Statistics user to activate their authorization code through the License Authorization Wizard. As a license administrator you are able to complete the activation and share the license key with the user.
IBM SPSS License Key Center
1. Collect the authorization code from the user who needs to activate their license
1. On the IBM SPSS License Key Center welcome page, choose “Generate Authorization code” and select the product/version of the authorization code.
2. In the “Select Entitlement” window, choose “View” on the Purchase Order the code was generated for, to identify the user authorization code which should be in the table.
3. In the “View Authorization code” table you can click on the authorization code to see its details
4. Enter a locking code (Request the lock code from the user: More info here) and an optional description. Choose “Activate”.

5. Click the license code that was generated and provide the code to the user by putting it in an email or file.
6. Have the user complete the License Authorization Wizard with the key you provides.
If your code has already been activated, in addition to the authorization code details, you will see the details of the activation below. You may click on the License Code to retrieve the entire code. Please note that the Activated By field will only be filled in if you activated on this site.
