New features in ClearCase and ClearCase MultiSite V8.0.0.2

What's new in IBM Rational ClearCase version 8.0.0.2:

• The integration between Rational Team Concert (RTC) and ClearTeam Explorer has been enhanced for UCM. In ClearTeam Explorer version 8.0.0.2 (or later) and RTC version 4.0 (or later), users are now able to:
  
• Specify RTC work items to associate with UCM activities when performing various operations such as: checking in, checking out, adding to source control, moving, renaming, removing, and merging.
  
• Specify RTC work items and UCM activities that are either new or pre-existing
  
• Associate a single RTC work item with a single UCM activity, or multiple RTC work items with a single UCM activity, or multiple UCM activities with a single RTC work item, or multiple UCM activities with multiple RTC work items
  
• Use the ClearTeam Explorer preference called "Enable associations between UCM activities and an external Task Provider plug-in" to specify whether the integration is active or disabled. When the integration is active, the "Require task associations" option may be used to specify one of two modes of operation: optional or required. If the "Require task associations" option is cleared, users may choose to associate RTC work items with UCM activities or not when prompted. If the "Require task associations" option is selected, users must establish these associations when prompted or be unable to complete the operation. The "Enable associations between UCM activities and an external Task Provider plug-in" option is on by default.
  
• Support for Rational Common Licensing 8.1.2.1 has been added
  
• Support for IBM Installation Manager console mode has been added. Console mode enables users to perform various installation tasks such as Install, Update, Modify, Rollback and Uninstall on supported UNIX platforms. • JREs have been upgraded to address security vulnerabilities
  
• Support for US Government Configuration Baseline (USGCB) for Windows 7 has been added

• Support has also been added for the following:

• 64-bit Microsoft Windows Explorer
  
• VMware ESXi V5.0
  
• AIX 6.1 TL7
