Built into Aspera cloud offerings is the unique direct-to-cloud technology. It integrates FASP high-speed transport with the underlying multipart HTTP interfaces of the cloud object storage layer, enabling the fastest file uploads and downloads on all major cloud platforms. Aspera cloud technology also includes important transfer management features such as pause, automatic resume, reporting, and encryption over the wire and, optionally, at rest.

The Aspera transfer platform includes autoscale capabilities for dynamic, real-time scale out of transfer capacity. They include automatic start and stop of transfer server instances, available idle instances, automatic balancing of client requests and configurable service levels to manage transfer load per instance. The new multisession transfer technology expands the autoscaling capability, enabling clients to achieve multigigabit transfer speeds.

The newest platform supported by the Aspera High-Speed Transfer Server is Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform. The release includes a containerized, scalable version of the Aspera transfer server that can be easily deployed, using Helm charts or Kubernetes operators.
