A UI to facilitate full-lifecycle API management

API manager user interface in IBM API Connect® helps you organize, publish and analyze any API across the API lifecycle. It provides capabilities for governance, versioning and full control over visibility across consumers, whether internal or external.

How API Manager works

Everything you need to manage private internal and public external APIs.

After a Product has been published to a Catalog, you can work with the Plans in that Product to promote and track API usage.
Pacakage APIs

APIs are packaged into one or more products, each of which can contain different plans with their own quotas and rate limits. API providers manage the availability and visibility of API Products and plans with ease, effectively managing the APIs through all stages of their lifecycle and providing a seamless experience to application developers.

Products are staged into Catalogs and published into Spaces, useful for separating and managing APIs for different organizations.
Isolate environment

IBM API Connect uses Catalogs and Spaces so API providers have a way to offer isolation and autonomy for internal teams, while managing governance of all APIs from one central interface. API provider teams stage Products to Catalogs or Spaces, and then publish to an associated developer portal for external delivery.

Manage users

API providers can control user access to provider organizations through fine-grained roles and permissions. They can also manage the consumer organizations that sign up to access their APIs. Developer communities can additionally be created as a way of grouping together a collection of consumer organizations to whom a particular set of Products and Plans can be made available.
