Feb 05,2015

IBM today issued a statement welcoming introduction of the Innovation Act, which would advance patent litigation reform.

Washington, D.C. – IBM today released the following statement welcoming introduction of the Innovation Act:

“IBM commends Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA), as well as IP Subcommittee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) and Ranking Member Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) for introducing the Innovation Act in the U.S. House of Representatives. Now is the time to pass legislation that serves to curb abusive behaviors in our patent litigation system while preserving protections for innovative technologies that spur economic growth.

IBM thanks Chairman Goodlatte for his steadfast leadership on patent litigation reform and we look forward to working with him, Representatives Issa and Nadler, and other leaders in both the House and Senate to pass patent litigation reform legislation that will enhance America’s competitive edge in the global marketplace.”
