CP Optimizer offers predefined means of controlling its overall behavior. These means are known as global modifiers because they modify globally the behavior you can expect from CP Optimizer in your application. You can use global modifiers only in the member function IloCP::solve.

• One category of global modifiers includes the search limits:
  • IloCP::FailLimit
  • IloCP::ChoicePointLimit
  • IloCP::TimeLimit
  Those member functions are implemented by search objects. These search objects can be used with goals:
  • IlcFailLimit
  • IlcOrLimit
  • IlcTimeLimit
• Another category of global modifiers includes the objective minimization step:
  • IloCP::OptimalityTolerance
