For technical issues and to fix problems, contact IBM Support.

Before you open a support case:

  • Check the Instana Status page for known issues.
  • Verify network connections and firewall settings.
  • Search this documentation and the community forum for solutions.

Information to include in your support case:

  • Subject and detailed description of the issue
  • Issue type and priority
  • Your Instana deployment type (SaaS URL or self-hosted backend details)
  • Time range when the issue occurred
  • Relevant logs and screenshots
  • For SaaS: Links to affected resources in your Instana tenant
  • For self-hosted: Debug logs (use instana debug --upload)

Feature requests and feedback

Have an idea for improving Instana? Submit feature requests and vote on suggestions from other users through the Aha! platform. Development teams use this feedback when they plan product releases.
