Editing XML Elements

To edit an existing XML element, click the List icon () to the right of the XML entry in the left-hand navigation bar of the Watson Explorer Engine administration tool. A screen like that shown in Figure 1 displays.

If you see the XML element that you want to edit on this initial screen, you can click on its name to open that component for viewing or editing. If not, type any portion of the name of the component that you are looking for and click search. The list shown on the selection page updates to show XML components whose name contains the string that you specified. You can click on the name of the component that you're looking for to open that component for viewing or editing.

Once you have opened the XML component that you're interested in, you can do any of the following:

If you duplicate an existing component to use it as a starting point for a similar component, the copy of your existing component that is created is automatically assigned the same name as the existing component, with the "-copy" suffix appended to its name. To rename the duplicate component, click edit and change the value of the name attribute to be whatever you want the new component to be named. After clicking OK to save your changes, the new name of the component will be displayed and used.
