Changes coming to ftp servers and sending documentation to IBM Support
There are some important changes coming to IBM ftp servers that are used to upload IBM Z documentation. Action is required by March 10th, 2025 to continue to ftp documentation to IBM Support.
It is recommended that all IBM Z customers review the announcement by the Enhanced Customer Repository (ECuRep) team: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/7161911 and take the recommended actions.
Here is a summary of the changes:
Effective October 29th, 2024, additional hostnames and ip addresses will be implemented and available for use, as described below. Please start utilizing the hostname based on the protocol being used for data transfer. Static ip addresses are not intended for use. The ip with the fastest response time will be used. Ensure any firewalls in place are updated to allow connectivity. Do not change or remove existing firewall rules. PDUU APAR OA66961 will be necessary to accept the new hostnames.

- 2620:1f7:c010:1:1:1:1:11
- FTPS: ftps.ecurep.ibm.com - existing hostname/new ip addresses

Please be prepared and update any existing JCL, jobs or tools including Problem Documentation Upload Utility (PDUU) and z/OSMF to use the new hostnames.
- HTTPS: www.ecurep.ibm.com
- FTPS: ftps.ecurep.ibm.com
- SFTP: sftp.ecurep.ibm.com
Use AMAPDUPL PDUU (z/OS Problem Documentation Upload Utility) with an IBM Support File Transfer ID (https://www.secure.ecurep.ibm.com/transferids/) using FTPS or HTTPs. Example JCL jobs for PDUU can be found here: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6611213.
- Compress your dataset using AMATERSE.
- Transfer in BINary to the hostname and directory using your IBM Support File Transfer ID.
- PUT the file using your case number as the start of the file name, and TRS as the extension:
TSxxxxxxxxx.short.description.TRS
Files can also be sent from a workstation as a case attachment.
