Pre-installation
To help ensure a smooth and successful installation of IBM® Storage Defender Sentinel anomaly scan software, complete a site survey before you plan to install the product.

- Review the anomaly scan software requirements. To review, see Server requirements and recommendations that follow and confirm that the environment can adequately accommodate the system. If the environment cannot meet the minimum requirements, unpredictable application behavior is possible.

- Support portal access

- Confirm that you have an account that is created in the support portal prior to the installation of the product.
- Sign in to the portal and sign the End User License Agreement (EULA). Accepting the EULA is mandatory to register the new system and activate or install the license.

- The authorized user or license owner must sign in to the anomaly scan software and sign the End User License Agreement (EULA). Accepting the EULA is mandatory to register the new system and activate or install the license.

- The CheckEngine.sh script is available on the Passport advantage online. You need to install the script in the /usr/local/bin directory and make it executable. You need to run the script to confirm that the system is ready for a software installation and then to confirm the final configuration.
