What's new in this release

Learn about features, enhancements or fixes that are new to this release of Identity Manager.

Depending on the version of Identity Manager that you install, some features might apply only to the virtual appliance or the software installed distribution. The following indicators appear in the documentation to help you recognize any differences:

  • For virtual appliances - Specifies information that applies only to Identity Manager virtual appliance installations.
  • For software installations - Specifies information that applies only to Identity Manager software installations.

ISVG 10.0.0 Fix Pack 4 uses the upgraded versions of the key middleware, platform and open-source components:

ISVG 10 FP03 provides support for BiDi (bi-directional) languages Arabic and Hebrew in the Virtual Appliance Local Management Interface (LMI).

IBM Security Verify Governance v10.0.0 Fix Pack 3 is compliant with FIPS 140-2 specifications for new installations and for upgrading from FIPS-enabled installations.
Updates to the Request For Information (RFI) process
Prior to the IBM Security Verify Governance v10.0.0 Fix Pack 3, the RFI participant could submit the RFI request without accessing the account/person form in which the required information was required to be provided. To prevent this issue, the RFI request process is modified.

Identity Manager Server

Identity Manager console enhancements

  • An administrator can now specify schedules with multiple days of the week that must be executed. The REST and JAVA APIs are also enhanced as a part of this functionality.
  • An administrator can now define a provisioning policy with automatic entitlement for non-individual accounts.
  • While working with Role Hierarchies, you can now add a dynamic role as a child to the static role.

REST API enhancements

  • You can now add, modify, delete and search password policies by using the REST API.

Identity Manager Service Center enhancements

  • Provided a new option to add Role assignment attributes during Request Access from Identity Manager Service Center. You can also modify existing accesses and change the value for Role Assignment Attributes.

KVM on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 support

KVM on Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 8 is now supported for Identity Manager on Linux.

OpenID authentication support

Administrators can add and configure OpenID Connect providers and use OpenID authentication for Identity Manager Administration Console and Identity Manager Service Center.
