Process Plugin

The Process plugin depends on the SNMP Plugin and requires it to be properly configured with valid credentials. It uses the HOST-RESOURCES MIB to collect information about currently running processes, including CPU time and memory usage.

Before enabling the Process plugin, ensure that the SNMP plugin is enabled and functioning correctly on the device.

Important: If the SNMP plugin is later disabled without removing the configured SNMP credentials, Process polling will continue to run.

Devices for which you enable the Process plugin can display the following process data on the Device Summary.

  • Process Name - Displays the process name.
  • Description - Displays the process description.
  • Availability - Displays the process availability.
  • Instances - Displays the number of instances running.
  • Memory - Displays the amount of memory the process uses.
  • CPU - Displays the percentage of the CPU the process uses.
