WebSphere setup

For our tests, we needed to setup the WebSphere® dynamic caching services, enable servlet caching, and enable WebSphere as a server in a cluster.

Enabling WebSphere dynamic cache services

To enable the WebSphere dynamic cache services we did the following:
  1. Opened the WebSphere Administration Console from a browser window using http://10/10/80/10:9060/ibm/console as the address
  2. Navigated to the Dynamic cache service screen (see Figure 1)

  3. Verified Enable service at server startup was selected (this is the default setting)
  4. Set our cache size to 2000 statements
  5. Selected OK
  6. Saved changes to the master configuration
  7. Restarted WebSphere
