You can install IBM® DevOps Test Integrations and APIs Agent (Test Integrations and APIs Agent) by using the command line on a console.
You must have installed Installation
Manager. For
information about installing Installation
Manager, see Installing and using Installation
Manager in the Installation
Manager Knowledge
Center.
You must download and extract the Test Integrations and APIs Agent installation image from IBM Passport Advantage to a temporary directory. This
directory containing the image gets added as a repository to Installation
Manager.
You can install Test Integrations and APIs Agent in
the console mode. In console mode installation, the graphical installation
wizard is replaced by options displayed in the command line interface. The
options are presented as a numbered list or as shortcut keys. Review the options
and enter a number or a shortcut key to select an option and to navigate to the
next option. For more information about console mode installation, see Working in console mode in the Installation
Manager Knowledge
Center.

From the command line, go to the Installation
Manager tools directory:

On Windows systems the location can be:
C:\Program Files [(x86)]\IBM\Installation
Manager\eclipse\tools

On Linux systems the location can be:
/opt/IBM/InstallationManager/eclipse/tools

Run the following command to start Installation Manager in console
mode:

On Windows systems, run:

On Linux systems, run:
The following steps are common for the Windows and Linux systems.

To add the Test Integrations and APIs Agent repository to Installation
Manager, complete the following steps:
-
Enter P to select the preferences
option.
-
Enter 1 to select the repositories
option.
-
Enter D to add a repository.
-
Enter the location of the configuration file. For example, it can
be:
C:\TEMP\Agent_SETUP\disk1\diskTag1.inf in
Windows
/root/tmp/Agent_SETUP/disk1/diskTag1.inf in
Linux

Enter A to apply changes.

Return to the installation menu.
-
Enter 1 to install the software packages.
The software packages that you can install are displayed along with the
option to enter to select the required package.

Enter the number for the Test Integrations and APIs Agent package.

Enter the option to select the version of Test Integrations and APIs Agent to install.

Verify that the Test Integrations and APIs Agent package is selected, then enter N.
You can read the license agreement by entering A.
Follow the instructions on the screen to return to the install menu.
Continue to the next step.

Enter 1 to accept the license agreement.

Verify that the acceptance of the license agreement is selected, then enter
N to continue to the next step.

Enter N to continue to the next step.
If you want to modify the location of the Shared Resources
Directory, follow the instructions on the screen to enter the
location of the Shared Resources Directory and return
to continue with the installation.

If you want to change the location of the installation location, follow the
instructions on the screen, else enter N to continue
with the installation.

Select the translation language if you want to install other than the
default selected, else enter N to continue with the
installation.

Continue to enter N on the command prompt to proceed
with the installation task.

Select the option from the displayed list to configure the licensing
operation of Test Integrations and APIs Agent.
The selection of the mode depends on the type of license you have procured
for your product.

Enter N on the command prompt to proceed with the
installation task.

Enter I to install the software package.
If you want to generate an Installation response file, follow the
instructions on the screen and return to continue with the installation.
The installation progress is displayed.

Enter F to complete the installation task.
You can view the message details of the installation procedure by
selecting the option displayed.
You have installed Test Integrations and APIs Agent by using the command line on a console.
If you have installed Test Integrations and APIs Agent before you have installed Test Virtualization Control Panel, you must proceed
to install Test Virtualization Control Panel and
then configure it so that Test Integrations and APIs Agent can connect to Test Virtualization Control Panel.
If you have installed Test Integrations and APIs Agent on a system that does not support a GUI, you must generate a configuration
file to use with Library Manager. See Generating a configuration file for Test Integrations and APIs for the instructions.
