Read the following topics.
- Installation Manager modes
-
Consider the various methods that you can use to run Installation Manager.
- Agent Data Location
-
The agent data location is a directory that is established during the installation of Installation Manager. When the Installation Manager is installed, the agent data location cannot be changed. Changing the content, files, or directories in the agent data location directory or subdirectories is not supported. Any modification to this data is likely to cause corruption of the installed packages, making it impossible to update, uninstall, modify, rollback, or install any packages in the future.
- Installation kit
-
Every product is packaged and delivered differently. You can download the installation kit for a product or you can obtain product disks that contain an installation kit.
- Master setup disk
-
Every product is packaged and delivered differently. Some products provide a master setup disk, a prepackaged collection of offerings that is contained on a single disk. The master setup disk, which contains a table of contents that lists the offerings that are included on the disk, references other disk sets to install multiple offerings. You cannot add offerings to the prepackaged master setup disk. However, you can omit offerings by not downloading and extracting them.
