If you have purchased Db2 license from IBM, the End of Support (Base) column indicates the last date on which you are entitled to base support for your Db2 product (also known as the EOS date). You can extend the support period beyond the EOS date for a fee. To arrange a Db2 service extension, contact your local IBM® representative.

If you have purchased IBM software that bundles Db2 as a supporting Program, the End of Support (Base) column indicates the last date on which you are entitled to support for Db2 as part of that IBM software. Extended Support and Continuing Support are not provided. To continue receiving support for Db2 after the end of support date, upgrade the IBM software that bundles Db2 to the latest version of that software.

Support terms and conditions can differ for the use of Db2 with certain applications. Customers can check directly with their application vendor for the terms and duration of their support for Db2. For more information, see the IBM support page.

End of Support (Extended) column indicates the date on which IBM would end extended support for Db2 product. Extended Support covers support for Db2 versions 9.7 to 10.5 until 30 April 2025 to allow ample time to upgrade to supported version. After that date, Extended Support would follow the standard Support process for Db2 versions.

Continuing Support extends non-defect support for known issues for select versions past EOS date while customers prepare to upgrade. For details on the Continuing Support program see Db2 Continuing Support. IBM announced the end of the Continuing Support program effective 30 April 2024. Customers can purchase Extended Support, if applicable, or upgrade to a supported version.
