Installing the IBM Content Cortex Deployment API

For assets created with FileNet® P8 tools, you can use the IBM Content Cortex Deployment API to write applications to implement parts of the migration and deployment process to move assets between environments.

About this task

You can download the installation package for the IBM Content Cortex Deployment API (CCX-deployment API) from Passport Advantage®. You can find the installation instructions in the CCX-deployment API package.

You can use the package to install CCX-deployment API for both the traditional and containerized deployments of FileNet Content Manager.

The CCX-deployment API automates the migration and deployment of application metadata between Content Platform Engine (CPE) environments. You can export application metadata objects from a source CPE domain and object store and import them into a destination domain and object store. Procedure

Use the instructions to install CCX-deployment API:

  1. Download the CCX-deployment API (IFCPEGQLDEP) package from IBM® Passport Advantage External link opens a new window or tab.
  2. Extract the contents of the package and follow the instructions in the IBM Content Cortex Deployment API Getting Started guide to install the API.
  3. Install the latest software updates for the CCX-deployment API, Content Services GraphQL, and Content Platform Engine software to ensure optimal operation.
