Creating a connection for SAP BW Extract with SNC encryption

You can create a new connection that uses secure network communication (SNC) encryption for the SAP BW Extract connector.

Note: The SNC encryption feature for the SAP BW Extract connector is available starting from the Version 5.3.0 - Day 0 patch release.

The SAP BW Extract connector has been enhanced to support SNC Encryption, enabling secure network communication for data extraction. This strengthens the existing SAP BW Extract connector by providing an added layer of encryption through secured ports.

Overview of the SAP BW Extract SNC encryption only connection

The SAP BW Extract SNC encryption only connection uses secure network communications (SNC) to provide encryption and secure communication between the SAP BW Extract connector and the SAP BW system. This is so you can have secure network communications with encryption while authenticating with a basic username and password.

SAP & Cloud Pak for Data configurations for the SAP BW Extract SNC Encryption only connection

Follow all the steps of the SNC configuration from Configuring SNC settings for CP4D connectors. However, do not run the steps for the two following sections because they are not required to set-up an SNC encryption-only connection for SAP BW Extract:
