Getting started

Cloud Pak for Data System is an all-in-one cloud-native Data and AI platform in a box. The hardware components that are optimized for data analytics can be installed in a customer-provided rack or be delivered in an integrated rack. The main application that is pre-installed on the system is Cloud Pak for Data. You can also install a number of services (add-ons) to expand the system capabilities. Netezza Performance Server is one of them.

The Cloud Pak for Data System documentation is divided into three collections, which you can select from the drop down list on the upper left corner:
  • 1.0 - for version 1.0.7.7 and lower
  • 1.0.7.x - for 1.0.7.8
  • 2.0 - for version 2.0.0 and higher
This documentation includes the information for all the management, administering and monitoring tasks that pertain to the Cloud Pak for Data System itself. Cloud Pak for Data and Netezza Performance Server that might be installed on the system have their own documentation:
