Installing CICS Service Flow Runtime

Stabilized feature: Service Flow Runtime and Service Flow Modeler capability in IBM Developer for z/OS 14.2.3 are stabilized. Consider exposing and orchestrating applications as API services by using z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition or CICS® web services, or by writing web applications in Java™ or Node.js. The following tasks outline how to set up the runtime environment to work with CICS.

Procedure

  1. Check that you have the prerequisites installed on your z/OS® server.
  2. Install the CICS Service Flow Runtime modules onto your z/OS server.
    The Program Directory also includes details on space and storage requirements.
  3. Complete the postinstallation steps for each CICS region where CICS Service Flow Runtime is installed.
  4. Restart the CICS region.
