How to use Coach views to store or view documents

In client applications, you can store or view documents from an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) server by using functions that work with your search results.

To store a document, use one of the document Coach views in the user interface that you create for your client application. The type of documents that you want to work with determines which of the following Coach views you can use:

BPM Documents: BPM Document List view (as described in the topics Working with BPM documents in the Document List view).
External ECM documents: Document Explorer view or ECM Document List view (as described in the topics Document Explorer and ECM Document List.)

From these views, you can retrieve a set of documents from an ECM server, display a selected document, and store documents. The way that you configure the document Coach view determines how the view behaves in your client application.

To view a document, you can configure your document Coach view in one of the following ways:

Configure the document Coach view that you are using with the File Viewer view. (You must also configure the File Viewer view.)
Set a configuration option for the document Coach view to display the document in a new window.
