Enabling and disabling plug-ins for the IBM Business Automation Workflow desktop
IBM Business Automation Workflow loads selected plug-ins by default for the IBM Business Automation Workflow desktop and IBM Business Automation Workflow Case administration desktop. You can configure these desktops in the IBM Content Navigator administration desktop to change the plug-ins that are available for the desktop.
About this task
Previously, IBM Content Navigator loaded all plug-ins, even if a plug-in was not needed for the layout or features included in a desktop. IBM Content Navigator displays the registered plug-ins so that you can enable all plug-ins for the desktop or select only the plug-ins that are needed.
- IBM Business Automation Workflow API plug-in
- Load this plug-in to provide API support for Case Client, IBM Business Automation Workflow Monitor Dashboard, and the IBM Business Automation Workflow Box event listener.
- IBM Business Automation Workflow client plug-in
- Load this plug-in to enable Case Client in IBM Content Navigator. This plug-in also supports the IBM Business Automation Workflow Dashboard plug-in.
- IBM Business Automation Workflow administration plug-in
- Load this plug-in to enable the IBM Business Automation Workflow administration client in IBM Content Navigator.
- IBM Business Automation Workflow custom plug-ins
- Load any plug-ins that are required to enable any custom widget packages or extension packages that you use with IBM Business Automation Workflow.
- IBM Business Automation Workflow Mobile Configurator
- Load this plug-in to enable the configurator that is required if you are using the IBM Business Automation Workflow Mobile app.
- Case Box Event Listener plug-in
- Load this plug-in to enable the Box event listener in IBM Content Navigator.
- IBM Case Dashboard plug-in
- Load this plug-in to enable IBM Case Monitor Dashboard in IBM Content Navigator.
- Content Platform Engine Applets Support
- Load this plug-in to enable Process Designer to be used with IBM Business Automation
Workflow.Tip: Load this plug-in only if you want to launch the IBM FileNet® Process Designer applet from Case Builder. You do not need to load this plug-in to use the standalone IBM FileNet Process Designer.

The Case configuration tool selects the IBM Business Automation Workflow administration plug-in to be loaded for the IBM Business Automation Workflow Case administration desktop. If Box collaboration is enabled, the Case configuration tool also selects the IBM Business Automation Workflow API plug-in and Case Box Event Listener plug-in to be loaded.

You can configure the desktop to disable one or more of plug-ins or to enable other plug-ins for use with the IBM Business Automation Workflow desktop or IBM Business Automation Workflow administration desktop.
The IBM Business Automation Workflow Case configuration tool does not affect the plug-ins that are loaded for a custom desktop.
