Replication
Policy-based replication can be used to implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions between systems in different locations.
The possible configurations include:
- High availability
- Active-active high availability between two independent systems.
- Disaster recovery
- Asynchronous replication to another system for disaster recovery.
- High availability and disaster recovery
- Active-active high availability between two independent systems, with asynchronous replication to a third system for disaster recovery.
Note: On some platforms, software features, or combinations of software features are limited by
available hardware. If applicable, the limitations are documented in a Software feature
limits page in the relevant Hardware Guide.
