You can export data from work items to a comma-separated
values (CSV) file. You can also save data from work items to an HTML
table that you can print.
About this task
Note: In the web client, query results display
the IDs and summaries for linked work items. However, when you export
data from a work item query to a CSV file, only the IDs of linked
work items, such as child, blocking, or related work items, are exported.
The summaries are not exported to the CSV file.
Procedure
- Run a query or do a search to select the work items that
you want to export or print.
Note: If the result set is
large, not all work items are displayed in the results grid. However,
all work items are included in the results from the print or export operations
that are described in step
2.
- In the results grid, click the View
Full Result Set in Printable Format icon
to
view the query results in an HTML table, or click the Download
as Spreadsheet icon
to export the results
to a comma-separated values (CSV) file. You can view, save, or print
the HTML table. You can import a CSV file into a spreadsheet or personal
database. The columns that are specified on the Query editor
Column Display page are used in the report.
