Configuring widgets

The pages in your dashboard views are populated with widgets. You use widgets to work with items in the service registry.

You can add new instances of widgets to the pages in your views, see Editing pages.

You can rename individual instances of widgets, and refresh the contents of a widget.

To rename a widget, click the down arrow in the widget title bar to open the widget menu, and select Rename.

To refresh a widget, click the down arrow in the widget title bar to open the widget menu, and select Refresh.

You can customize the widgets to change their behavior and appearance.

Rearranging widgets
You can rearrange the layout of widgets in any page in a view for which you have edit permission.
Configuring the Search widget
Use the Search widget to search for items in the service registry. You enter a search term and limit the search to certain types of item.
Configuring the Collection widget
Use the Collection widget to display a collection of service registry items.
Configuring the Detail widget
Use the Detail widget to display the details of a selected service registry item. This widget can display the properties, classifications, and relationships of a selected item.
Configuring the Actions widget
The Actions widget gives you quick access to common service registry tasks. You can configure which tasks you have access to.
Configuring the watch list
The watch list is a pre-configured version of the Collection widget. You use it in the Business, Operations, Development, or SOA Governance view to see a list of items that might require your attention.
Configuring the Navigator widget
Use the Navigator widget to navigate to your business objects by using the relationships between them.
Configuring the Graphical Explorer widget
Use the Graphical Explorer widget to visualize the relationships between your business objects.
Configuring the Chart widget
Use the Chart widget to display a collection of service registry items in the form of a pie chart, bar chart, or table.
Configuring the Governance Policies Overview widget
Use the Governance Policies Overview widget to see an overview of the pass and failure rates of policies that have been defined in the governance policy validator. The pass and failure rates apply to a time period that you specify.
Configuring the Governance Policy Effectiveness Details widget
Use the Governance Policy Effectiveness Details widget to view detailed information relating to the pass and failure rates for an individual governance policy validator policy, over a time period that you specify.
Configuring the Operational Policy Enforcement Overview widget
The Operational Policy Enforcement Overview widget provides an overview of the pass and failure rates of operational policies that are applied to runtime environments. The pass and failure rates apply to a time period that you specify.
Configuring the Operational Policy Enforcement Details widget
The Operational Policy Enforcement Details widget provides detailed information relating to the pass and failure rates for an individual operational policy, over a time period that you specify.
Configuring the WS-I Compliance Monitoring widget
Use the WS-I Compliance Monitoring widget to see an overview of the WS-I compliance levels of WSDL documents in the service registry.
Configuring the Web Site widget
Use the Web Site widget to display a particular web site within the dashboard.
Configuring the Page Navigator widget
The page navigator widget is usually hidden. It controls how an event in one page causes focus to move to a different page.
Wiring widgets
You can add a wire between two widgets so that one can react to an event occurring in the other. You can also remove a wire so that the two widgets no longer communicate.
