Getting the access code for a IBM Content Assistant instance

Use the IBM® Content Assistant Dashboard to retrieve the access code for each Content Assistant instance in your environment.

Before you begin

Make sure that you create instances for your IBM Content Assistant subscription. For more information, see the topic Creating a Content Assistant instance.

About this task

Each FileNet P8 domain in your environment is associated with a Content Assistant instance from your subscription. All object stores that belong to a FileNet P8 domain, share the access code from the same Content Assistant instance.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the IBM SaaS Console External link opens a new window or tab.
  2. Access the Content Assistant subscription and click View subscription details.
    You can view the subscription details like the subscription owner, the subscription plan, and related information.
  3. Click the Instances tab to view the Content Assistant instances for your subscription.
  4. Click Open to access the IBM Content Assistant Dashboard for your Content Assistant instance.
    The IBM Content Assistant Dashboard contains the IBM Content Assistant package and the access code for your Content Assistant instance. The information is needed to register each object store in your FileNet Content Manager domain with the Content Assistant instance.
  5. Click Copy code to retrieve the access code for your Content Assistant instance.
    Note: When you copy the instance access code for use with an object store for the first time, the instance is registered with the FileNet P8 domain for the object store. You need to copy the same instance access code for other object stores within the domain. But, you cannot use the same access code for an object store that belongs to a different domain.
