Creating a Content Assistant instance

You need to create a Content Assistant instance on the IBM SaaS Console for each FileNet domain in your environment.

About this task

Your administrator must work with an IBM Sales representative to create a subscription for the IBM® Content Assistant. After the subscription is created, the administrator can log in to the IBM SaaS Console to view the subscription and create a Content Assistant instance for each FileNet domain within the subscription.
Note: You can create a maximum of five Content Assistant instances for a single subscription.

Procedure

Follow the instructions to create a Content Assistant for a CPE domain:

  1. Log in to the IBM SaaS Console External link opens a new window or tab.
  2. Access your Content Assistant subscription.
Note: If you are using the IBM SaaS Console for the first time, create an IBM SaaS account to access and manage your Content Assistant subscription. Use the account creation wizard to create your first IBM SaaS account and your first Content Assistant instance.
  3. Click View subscription details for your subscription.
You can view the subscription details like the subscription owner, the subscription plan, and related information.
  4. In the Instances tab for the subscription, click Create Instance.
  5. Provide the Region and Instance name for the new Content Assistant instance.
You can choose the region and specify a name for the Content Assistant instance for a domain in your environment as Content_Assistant_Instance_domain1.
  6. Click Create.
The new instance that you create, is available when the status changes from Processing to Running.
  7. Repeat through step 4 to step 6 to create a Content Assistant instance for each FileNet P8 domain in your environment.
