Configuring a Content Assistant service ID for your watsonx.ai account

The section discusses how to set up a watsonx.ai account on IBM Cloud and to assign a Content Assistant service ID to a watsonx.ai deployment space. You can then generate an API key for the Content Assistant service ID that you can use to access the watsonx.ai account from the FileNet Content Manager environment.

You need to use the deployment space ID and the generated API key from your watsonx.ai account to configure the Content Assistant in FileNet Content Manager environment.

Signing up for watsonx.ai

Tip: Make sure that you either use a Standard or an Essentials plan on IBM Cloud. You run out of tokens faster if you use a trial account instead of a paid IBM Cloud account.

Creating a service ID for the Content Assistant on IBM Cloud

Creating a watsonx.ai deployment space

You need to create a watsonx.ai deployment space that includes the LLM that you want to use with the Content Assistant. For more information, see the topic Creating deployment spaces External link opens a new window or tab .

Assigning deployment space access for the Content Assistant service ID

You need to configure the service ID that you created for the Content Assistant to access the deployment space that contains the LLM model that you want to use with the Content Assistant. For more information, see the topic Service IDs External link opens a new window or tab .

Creating an API key for the Content Assistant service ID
