Managing your plan

IBM® NS1 Connect® offers multiple plan types to deliver the authoritative DNS services and traffic steering capabilities that are right for your organization.

About this task

When you purchase your product subscription from the IBM marketplace or the AWS marketplace, you will select one of the following plan types:

  • Essentials: This plan offers basic DNS functionality, including creating and publishing zones and records, with limited access to traffic steering capabilities.
  • Standard: This plan type is designed for organizations needing traffic steering capabilities to optimize routing decisions and ensure application availability. You can customize this plan to adjust the number of records, Filter Chain configurations, monitors, and monthly query volume limits specific to your needs.
  • Premium: This plan type is designed for organizations needing scalable authoritative DNS, including primary and secondary DNS support. Premium plan customers can choose to include one or more premium add-ons — such as DNS Insights for granular observability, Pulsar for RUM-based traffic steering, or Cloud Sync for multi-provider DNS without using XFR.

To upgrade or modify your current plan, go to the Usage page in the NS1 Connect portal (https://my.nsone.net/#/account/billing). Once you upgrade, new features are available and limits are applied immediately.
