Closing a free edition account

If you have a free edition account that you no longer need, you can delete your account through the IBM® NS1 Connect® web interface.

Before you begin

You must have the Manage account settings permission enabled for your user account before you can can delete your free edition account.

About this task

When you delete your account, all users and API keys lose access immediately. All account data is deleted including personal information and DNS resources in your account.

If you want to upgrade your account, you don't need to first close your free edition account; instead, you can sign up for a paid plan.

Procedure

  1. Click the User Settings icon and select Usage.
  2. From the Set usage alerts drop-down list, select Close account.
    A message displays alerting you that user and account data will be deleted.
  3. Select the By checking this box, I agree to delete my NS1 Connect account and all associated data.
  4. Click Close account.

Results

If the account closed successfully, you are logged out of NS1 Connect. If you receive a message that the request could not be completed, refresh the page in NS1 Connect and repeat the previous steps.
