Card builder

The Card builder enables the design, configuration, and personalization of cards that display key information, metrics, or visualizations. You can use the Card builder to create various charts and other card types, such as donut charts, KPI cards, table cards, and more.

Card builder uses a low-code and no-code framework to create cards, which means that these cards can be created with no or low coding elements, which reduced the programming efforts. The prebuilt samples allow minor modifications and reuse of the cards.

Cards can be configured with context variables so that cards show dynamic and personalized content. Context variables enable reuse of the cards effectively. For more information, see Context variables.

During card creation, the selected card type and variant determine the visual representation of a card. Queries fetch the values and the transformation transforms them into the expected format. If no custom transformation is applied, then the default transformation is applied based on the card type. In the transformation, calculation on the data that the query returns can be applied to customize the output. The Card builder enables custom styling, for example, changes in card dimensions, custom header, axes configuration, behavior, and footer.
