Deployment configurations for SIP applications

To deploy SIP applications, the target server must have a configuration that is supported by the SIP version that you are using.

Supported server configurations for SIP 1.0

You can deploy SIP 1.0 applications with any of the following configurations:
  • WebSphere® Application Server V7.0 and earlier than V7.0.0.5 with a base server profile.
  • WebSphere Application Server V7.0.0.5 or later, either with a base profile or a profile augmented to be compatible with the Feature Pack for Communications Enabled Applications (CEA).
  • WebSphere Application Server V8 or later with a base server profile.
  • WebSphere Application Server Liberty.

Supported server configurations for SIP 1.1

You can deploy SIP 1.1 applications with any of the following configurations:

  • WebSphere Application Server V7.0.0.5 or later with the Feature Pack for Communications Enabled Applications (CEA) installed.
  • WebSphere Application Server V8 or later with a base server profile.
  • WebSphere Application Server Liberty.
