Enabling debug installation and configuration logging on Windows

If you want the installation or uninstallation log to show debug messages, you can turn on debug logging.

About this task

To enable debug installation logging, complete the following steps:

Procedure

  1. Log into the reference computer; that is, the computer on which the configuration manager will be started.
    Enabling debugging from this computer automatically enables debugging on all target hosts that are listed in this configuration manager.
  2. To set the IBM_CM_LOGLEVEL environment variable to 7, run the following command: 
    set IBM_CM_LOGLEVEL=7
  3. To start the Content Manager Enterprise Edition configuration manager, run the following command : 
    %IBMCMREPO%\CM version\bin\cmcfgmgr_CM.bat
