PRH Record Requirements

Proprietary format files must be prefixed with a PRH record that meets the specific layout requirements.

PRH-01 Sender ID Qualifier 04-05 02 Type of data in the PRH-02 Sender ID field. Required.

PRH-02 Sender ID 06-20 15 Sender ID. Required.
PRH-03 Receiver ID Qualifier 21-22 02 Type of data in the PRH-04 Receiver ID field. Required.

PRH-04 Receiver ID 23-37 15 Receiver ID. Required.
PRH-05 Date 38-43 06 Date in YYMMDD format. For example, the date the interchange was created. Optional.
PRH-06 Time 44-47 04 Time in HHMM 24-hour format. For example, the time the interchange was created. Optional.
PRH-07 Version/Release Code 48-59 12 Sender defines the content in this field. Optional.
PRH-08 InterchangeControl Number 60-68 09 Unique interchange identifier assigned by the sender. Required.
PRH-09 Test Indicator 69 01 Data type code for the interchange. Either T for test data or P for production data. Optional.
PRH-10 Sender Application 70-72 03 Type of translation B2B Integration SaaS should perform for this data. One of the following:
  • B2B Integration SaaS-assigned code. Contact Customer Support for the appropriate code.
  • XXX means no translation is necessary because both business partners use an identical private data format.

    Required.

PRH-11 Fixed/Variable Record Flag 73 01 Record format. Either F for fixed-length record or V for variable-length record. Required.
PRH-12 Fixed Record Length 74-76 03 One of the following:
  • Number of bytes in each fixed-length record if the PRH-11 field is F.
  • Blanks if the PRH-11 field is V.

    Required if the PRH-11 field is F.

    Optional if the PRH-11 field is V.

PRH-13 PRH/PRT Record Length 77-79 03 PRH/PRT record length (080-512). Optional.
Note: A value is needed only if the PRH-11 is F. If the PRH-13 field is blank, the default is 080.
PRH-14 Variable Record Separator Character 80 01 The record terminator character marking the end of the variable-length record. Required if the PRH-11 field is V.

Optional if the PRH-11 field is F.

Required Sender and Receiver ID Qualifiers in PRH Records

Proprietary format files that use PRH records must include Sender ID Qualifiers and Receiver ID Qualifiers. These qualifiers indicate the type of information used for the sender or receiver ID. The following table lists the qualifiers that you can use in PRH records on B2B Integration SaaS:
