Overriding PGP key edits

A company administrator (admin) or IBM Support can override a PGP key edit by using different options.

About this task

As an IBMer or the company administrator (admin), you can override:

Transfer editing of a PGP key. For more information, see Transferring PGP key edits.
Discarding a PGP edit. For more information, see Discarding PGP key edits.
The lock that another user placed on a PGP key. For more information, see Locking and unlocking PGP keys.

Tip: To know the details for a PGP key that might already be in the locked status, click the lock icon.

Procedure

To override your previous command, search for your PGP key from the PGP keys list page.
Click the Action options menu and:
- To override the transfer of a PGP key edit, click Transfer edit.
- To override a PGP key edit, click Discard.
- To unlock a PGP key or to override a lock that another user placed on the PGP key, click Unlock.
